Two Italian scientists conducting experiments in wireless telegraphy announced in Paris that "they've solved the problem of independent wireless communication." The inventors said they have "picked up messages at will from every English wireless station and from ships at sea, and that they have transmitted messages."

Earle Wynekoop, husband of slain Rheta Gardner Wynekoop, "slipped into Chicago today" and surrendered to police at his mother's home. He denied killing his wife.
