January 8, 2009
A House panel has voted unanimously to recommend that Gov. Blagojevich be impeached. A vote by the full House is expected Friday, which could make Blagojevich the first governor in state history to be impeached. "This is an individual not fit to be governor of the state of Illinois," said House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie (D-Chicago), chairwoman of the impeachment panel.
