Navy recruit dies after training at Great Lakes naval station

A 19-year-old who passed out after some physical training died Wednesday morning at Naval Station Great Lakes in North Chicago.
Lake County Coroner Artis Yancey said the man passed out after finishing a physical training run. He was taken to the Captain James Lovell Federal Health Care Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:57 a.m., Yancey said.
The recruit’s name is being withheld until his family is notified.
