Two hurt in Downtown crash

Two people were injured late Thursday when a Cadillac Escalade ran a red light Downtown and struck a Porsche, which burst into flames.
The crash happened about 10:42 p.m. near the intersection of Lake Street and Wacker Drive when the Escalade ran a red light and slammed into a Porsche 994, police said.
The Porsche then caught fire, police said. Two passengers in the vehicle were able to get out, and were taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center where they have been treated and released.
Police issued two citations to the driver of the Escalade for running a red light.
