Two struck, seriously injured by car outside Lollapalooza

Two men were critically injured when they were struck by a car outside the Lollapalooza music festival in Grant Park Saturday night.
The accident happened on the 500 block of South Lake Shore Drive about 8:38 p.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien. The two men, both believed to be in their early 20s, were running across the street on Lake Shore Drive near Buckingham Fountain when they were hit by a vehicle, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis said.
The car remained on the scene following the accident, O’Brien said.
The two men were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious to critical condition, Curtis said.
