A man posing as a Chicago Police officer demanded money and sexual favors from a palm reader Sunday in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
At 5:15 p.m., a man, who said he was a Chicago Police officer, visited an apartment in the 2000 block of North Seminary Avenue where a palm reader visiting from New York was staying, according to Near North District Sgt. Joe Schmitt.
He received a reading and then demanded money and sexual favors from the woman, Schmitt said. The woman then fled from the apartment.
The man was not a Chicago Police officer, Schmitt said.
Police are seeking an African-American man, between 20-30 years old, five foot four inches tall, between 125-140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, dark blue baggie jeans and blue and white gym shoes.
