Park Ridge officials want escort service signs removed

Park Ridge officials are going to court to try to force a strip mall owner to remove signs for an escort service from his store windows.
The large signs in two vacant storefronts at 805 N. Northwest Hwy. advertise “Trixee’s Escort Service,” and promise “3 night stands w/ all the trix” for $2,400. A phone number on the signs is registered to a cell phone with a voicemail message that does not include the name of any business or individual. The business does not appear to have a website.
City Attorney Everette “Buzz” Hill said the signs violate city laws because they appear to advertise illegal activity. The city also prohibits sexually oriented signs.
