Man dies following possible South Side home invasion

Police are investigating the possibility of a man who died Sunday was thrown out a window during a home invasion on the South Side.
Patrick Starks, 43, of the 800 block of East 82nd Street, was pronounced dead at 9:07 p.m. Sunday at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
At 1:33 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a report of an injured man laying on the sidewalk in the 800 block of 82nd Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.
Police were not sure Monday morning of how Starks sustained his injuries, but are investigating the possibility he was thrown out of a broken second story window in his residence, according to Perez, who said Starks’ injuries appeared to be the results of a home invasion.
No drugs were reported found at Starks’ home, Perez said.
No one is in custody Monday morning, Perez said.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
