Suit filed over workplace death in Blue Island

The family of a LaGrange man who was killed in a workplace accident in February in Blue Island is suing companies involved in the building and repair of components used in the dump truck he was working on when he was killed.

Brian Fuller, an employee of George J. Roll & Sons, was crushed while working on the truck’s hydraulic components when the pump released.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in Cook County Circuit Court, says the company that built the pump, Energy Manufacturing, Inc., was liable for defects in the controls and the pump itself, causing the pump to stick and then be released while Fuller was undenearth the elevated body of the dump truck.
