Tanker truck crashes, one hurt on Bishop Ford

Two cars and a tanker truck collided Thursday morning on the Bishop Ford Freeway near south suburban Dolton.
The crash occurred at 8:54 a.m. on the northbound Bishop Ford near Sibley Boulevard, according to an Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper.
Dolton Fire Chief Jerry McCullough said the truck crashed into two cars, and a woman inside one of the cars had to be cut out.
McCullough said she was not hurt and was able to walk around after the extrication.
“One car was dinged but the other was pretty much crushed,’’ the chief said of the cars.
The truck did not leak fuel, according to another trooper who said police remained on the scene at 10:30 a.m.
