‘Several’ hospitalized in Kennedy crash

Several people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash early Monday on the Kennedy Expressway on the Northwest Side.
About 1:40 a.m., state police received reports of a “multi-car crash” on the northbound Kennedy Expressway near the Bryn Mawr Avenue exit ramp, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Trooper Mark Hall.
“Several” people were injured in the wreck and taken in an unidentified conditions to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Trooper Ramon Coss.
The left lane was temporarily closed following the crash, but was cleared by 2:20 a.m., Coss said.
State police remained at the hospital early Monday, Coss said. No citations or charges were filed as of that time.
A Chicago Fire Department spokesman did not provide information about the patients.
