A 17-year-old Park Ridge girl was arrested earlier this month for allegedly bringing brownies laced with marijuana into Maine South High School.
The school’s resource officer and deans were told the student was trying to sell marijuana-laced brownies to other students for $10 each, Park Ridge Police Cmdr. Lou Jogmen said.
The student was sent to the dean’s office, where five brownies were found inside her backpack, Jogmen said. The teen admitted the brownies contained marijuana, police said.
The teen, arrested Dec. 8, faces a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and is awaiting a petition to Juvenile Court. She was released to a parent following her arrest.
