Time to cast your vote for 2011-12 city sticker
Here's a chance to have your say in city government. Students from 50 Chicago high schools submitted 395 designs in City Clerk Miguel del Valle's annual contest to pick a new city vehicle sticker design. This year's theme: "Education is Key."
These are the 10 finalists. Now, it's your turn to help choose the winner, which will be featured on nearly 1.3 million 2011-12 city stickers starting in June. You can vote online -- at www.ChiCityClerk.com -- starting Sunday and continuing through Dec. 12. You also can vote in person at the city clerk's office -- room 107 at City Hall, 121 N. La Salle.
The winning student gets a $1,000 savings bond. Second place: a $500 bond. Third place: a $250 bond. The remaining seven get $100 bonds.
