Metra riders to get CPR demonstrations

Updated: June 3, 2014 3:01PM

The American Heart Association and Northwestern Medicine are teaming with Metra Wednesday morning to give riders a lesson on the new hands-only CPR method.

Instructors will also show how to use an automated external defibrillator. Early use of CPR and AEDs can help prevent someone from dying of a cardiac arrest.

After 6 a.m., demonstrators will be at Metra Millennium Station at Randolph and Michigan; Ogilvie Transportation Center; Metra stations in Evanston, Glenview, Lake Forest and Joliet; and a few other Metra stops.
