Woman found dead in abandoned Roseland building

An autopsy Wednesday revealed that a woman found dead in an abandoned building early Tuesday in the Far South Side Roseland neighborhood died from multiple injuries and her death was ruled a homicide.
The woman, who remained unidentified Thursday morning, was found dead at 10415 S. Michigan Ave. and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9 a.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said. A spokesman indicated the woman was a battery victim.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was found unresponsive in the abandoned building at 7:35 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said. He could not confirm the woman was battered.
