Man in custody, woman hospitalized after Rogers Park barricade situation

A man was taken into custody Sunday evening and a woman was hospitalized after a barricade situation in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
Officers were called to a domestic disturbance shortly after 2 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Birchwood Avenue, police said.
After officers arrived, a man barricaded himself in an apartment, police said.
About 4 p.m., a woman, whose age was not known, left the apartment and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in good condition, authorities said.
At 5:50 p.m., the man was arrested and taken to an area hospital for evaluation, police said.
Area North detectives were investigating.
