A man was killed Thursday night after he was shot in the shoulder in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.
Marcus Gaiter, 25, was sitting in a vehicle with another person in the 8600 block of South Morgan Street about 9:45 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
He was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle and suffered a single gunshot wound to the shoulder, authorities said.
A friend drove Gaiter, of the 800 block of West 86th Place, to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park. He was pronounced dead there at 10:33 p.m., authorities said.
