Updated: October 16, 2013 6:36PM

Lake Shore Drive is open again after a Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation truck flipped over Wednesday afternoon, shutting down lanes on the Near North Side.

Lanes had been shut down since about 2 p.m., when the truck took a hard turn and flipped over on southbound Lake Shore Drive near East Walton Place, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said. No one was injured.

Crews cleared the crash, and Lake Shore Drive was open again as of 5:55 p.m., police said.

Southbound No. 146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express and No. 147 Outer Drive Express buses were temporarily rerouted between Belmont and North avenues, but are running normally again, according to the CTA.
