At least eight people were injured when a CTA bus braked suddenly on Michigan Avenue Wednesday morning.
About 8:40 a.m., the northbound No. 3 King Drive bus was cut off by a cab that stopped suddenly in the 300 block of North Michigan, causing the bus to brake and send passengers tumbling, according to police and the CTA.
At least eight people were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver was not among those hospitalized, CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski said.
The accident did not affect other buses on Michigan Avenue, she said.
