A night-time resurfacing project on Lake Shore Drive that begins Monday and is expected to last five weeks will likely mean delays for motorists, says the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The work — from North Avenue to Balbo Drive — will mean night-time lane closures Monday through Thursday from approximately 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. , officials said.
Drivers are urged to allow extra time for trips through the affected area.
