Two people were seriously injured when an SUV hit them as it crashed through the front window of a South Side restaurant.
They were standing outside in the 1900 block of East 95th about 1:30 a.m. when an SUV drove into them and knocked them into the front window of the restaurant, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The driver of the SUV then drove away, Alfaro said.
The RJ Fish & Chicken restaurant was heavily damaged. The front glass window and door were smashed through, and bricks from the corner and side wall of the structure were scattered across the front sidewalk.
The males hurt were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, Alfaro said.
