Some Metra trains were temporarily halted Friday morning due to computer and signal problems on the Union Pacific lines.
Union Pacific computers in Omaha, Neb., that control train signals for Metra’s UP-North, UP-Northwest and UP-West lines resulted in delays of about 20 minutes, according to Metra spokesman Tom Miller.
Miller said trains would be on the move “shortly” as of 8:50 a.m.
Trains may be delayed about 10 to 15 minutes until the computer system can be rebooted, according to Metra’s website.
