1 dead, 2 injured in head-on crash in Glenview

GLENVIEW — A head-on car crash in north suburban Glenview killed a 37-year-old driver and injured two others Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews found two cars with crumpled front-ends about 2:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Milwaukee Avenue, Glenview police said in a release.

The driver of a 2001 Toyota Camry was being tended to on a sidewalk, police said. His injuries were not life-threatening.

The 37-year-old man who was driving a 2012 Kia Soul had to be removed from the car, but later died, according to the release. His name was withheld pending notification of family.

The wreckage of the Kia had to be cut away to rescue his female passenger, police said. Her injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

All three were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

The crash is under investigation.
