Man shot in Washington Park

A person of interest is being questioned in connection with a shooting in the South Side neighborhood of Washington Park on Tuesday morning.
A man, thought to be in his 60s, was shot in the chest and buttocks on the 6000 black of South Martin Luther King Drive about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Area South detectives have a person of interest in custody, but no additional details were immediately available.
