Updated: September 17, 2013 7:55AM

Two wrong-way drivers were stopped within a half-hour early Tuesday on two different expressways.

In the first incident, two men people are in custody after a wrong-way car crash on an Eisenhower Expy. ramp on the Near West Side early Tuesday.

The car was driven north in the southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expy., starting at West 26th and eventually merging onto the Eisenhower, where it continued west in the eastbound lanes, an Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper said. The vehicle crashed into a barrier wall after the driver attempted to use an on-ramp to exit at South Racine about 12:30 a.m., state police said.

The driver and a passenger, both in their 20s, were taken into custody after the crash, state police said. Nobody was hurt in the crash, state police said.

In an unrelated incident about 1 a.m., another wrong-way driver was stopped traveling north in the southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan near the Chicago Skyway, state police said. The female driver in that crash also was taken into custody, state police said.
