A 22-year-old Schiller Park summer day camp counselor sexually abused a teenage camp attendee she met at work and befriended, Cook County prosecutors said.
Cheryl Robaczewski and the 15-year-old victim from Chicago met in July and the pair exchanged numbers, Assistant State’s Attorney Christy Brewer said.
Even though Robaczewski, of Schiller Park, knew the girl was a minor, she still drove to her Norwood Park house six or seven times after midnight between Aug. 20 and Monday, Brewer said.
The girl would sneak out of her house to meet Robaczewski and on at least two occasions, Robaczewski allegedly grabbed the girl’s buttocks and breasts.
Robaczewski also kissed the girl, according to a police report.
Robaczewski is a graduate of East Leyden High School and Concordia University, Assistant Public Defender Peter Bormes said.
Robaczewski was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail Wednesday.
It was unclear if Robaczewski worked for a private summer camp program or the village’s recreation department.
Officials with Schiller Park refused comment.
