Motorcyclist killed, second injured in South Side crash

A motorcyclist was killed and another was seriously injured in a crash on the Far South Side Saturday night, Chicago Police said.
Just after 10 p.m., a 37-year-old man was riding his motorcycle north on Stony Island Avenue near 110th “at a high rate of speed,” and crashed into a 53-year-old man who was sitting on a parked motorcycle on the side of the road, police said.
The 37-year-old was dead at the scene and the 53-year-old was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.
It was not immediately known if alcohol or drugs factored in the crash.
The police Major Accident Investigation Unit is looking into the crash.
