A Metra train struck and killed a pedestrian Sunday morning on Chicago’s West Side Lawndale.
A man, believed to be in his 30s or 40s, was sitting on the tracks in the 3500 block of West Odgen , part of the Lawndale neighborhood, just before 9 a.m. when he was struck by the train, said Chicago Police Officer Michael Sullivan, a department spokesman.
Some delays were reported on some inbound and outbound trains as a result, the rail agency reported.
