A Monee man was killed and two others were wounded early Saturday in a shooting at a Bridgeport apartment — one of two fatal shootings across the city of Chicago since Friday night. The south suburban man, identified at 21-year-old Daniel Ortiz, was shot in the chest and killed around 2:45 a.m. when shots were fired at the apartment in the 3800 block of South Halsted Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The police said the wounded were a 22-year-old man who was shot in the head and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition and a 25-year-old man, shot in the head and a leg, who was found in a vehicle that crashed in the 4300 block of South Wentworth Avenue a short time later. No arrests have been made. In another shooting Saturday morning, a man, thought to be in his 20s, was killed in Morgan Park, according to the police, who said he was found shortly before 11:30 a.m. at the rear of a building in the 11700 block of South Hale Avenue.
