Metra Union Pacific West Line trains have resumed service after a Metra train crew spotted a man’s body near the tracks in west suburban Wheaton early Thursday.
Lt. Bob Miller of the Wheaton Police said a Metra train crew called police about 7:20 a.m. after seeing the body between Washington and Chase, behind the Billy Graham Center Museum on the Wheaton College campus.
The victim, described as a man in his mid-30s, appeared to have been hit by a train.
Trains on the West Line were running up to 70 minutes late.
