A man was critically wounded in a shooting Thursday night in the Austin neighborhood, police said.
The 23-year-old man was outside in the 1100 block of North Waller when he was shot multiple times in the chest and back at 11:33 p.m., Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. He was taken in critical condition to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, police said.
