A fire spread to three buildings Thursday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The blaze started in a 1-1/2 story brick building in the 4000 block of West Adams Street, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Reports indicate the blaze started around 2 p.m.

The blaze spread to a four-story apartment building to the east and a two-story brick building to the west, the fire department said.

The fire was extinguished about 2:20 p.m. with no injuries, the fire department reported. Authorities didn’t immediately release information about the cause of the fire.
