Kids will be able to attend free basketball clinics around the city every weekend this summer at Chicago parks.

The clinics will be held at a different park each Saturday beginning next weekend and continuing through Aug. 10, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and sponsor Nike announced Saturday.

The program will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Satuday at parks already hosting the Windy City Hoops program on weekend nights and will be for 100 to 150 kids each week from 9 to 18 years old.

The clinics will include “visits from NBA athletes and other role models,” according to Chris Jones, a Nike vice president who detailed the program during an appearance Saturday with Emanuel at the Columbus Park fieldhouse on the city’s West Side.

They will be held the following dates at these locations:

◆ June 15, Ogden Park.

◆ June 22, Jackson Park.

◆ June 29, Fernwood Park.

◆ July 13, Columbus Park.

◆ July 20, Garfield Park.

◆ July 27, Loyola Park.

◆ Aug. 3, Franklin Park.

◆ Aug. 10, Amundsen Park.
