The death of a Blue Island man found dead in his home Tuesday night with signs of trauma to his body was natural, police said Wednesday.

Allen Lauffer, 64, was pronounced dead at his home in the 2200 block of West 123rd Street about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, the medical examiner’s office said.

His body showed what appeared to be signs of trauma, the medical examiner’s office said, and a cause of death was pending further studies. But police said there was no foul play involved.
