A man was killed after he crashed his motorcycle early Tuesday in southwest suburban Oak Lawn, authorities said.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, lost control of the motorcycle about 3:20 a.m. in the 10500 block of South Lavergne Avenue, police said.
The motorcycle hit the curb and he was thrown off, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed the death, though the man’s identity was withheld.
Police were initially called to the scene after a passerby reported debris in the road. When officers arrived, they found the man.
Police said they could not immediately determine if drugs or alcohol factored in the crash.
