Former Cubs right-hander Carlos Zambrano reportedly has signed with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League.

Zambrano would be joining a team with some familiar former major-leaguers, among them Dontrelle Willis, Ben Broussard and Josh Barfield.

After 11 years with the Cubs, Zambrano pitched for the Marlins in 2012. A free agent heading into this season, Zambrano, 31, was not picked up by a major-league team.
