Bond set at $1 million in fatal DuPage crash

Bond was set at $1 million Friday for a west suburban man charged with DUI in the crash that killed his 18-year-old passenger.
Karlos Leath, 31, of Warrenville, was driving southbound on Shaffner Road the 2003 Ford Explorer he was driving rolled over near Mack Road about 10:30 p.m., according to a release from the DuPage County Sheriff’s office.
The 18-year-old woman was taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries, according to the release. Her name was not released pending the notification of her family.
Leath was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI in an accident causing death, according to the sheriff’s office.
He is next scheduled to appear in court May 20.
