Chicago’s new bike-sharing program — called “Divvy” — should open in mid-June with 75 stations and expand by the following spring to 4,000 stations, Chicago Department of Transportation officials said Thursday. Officials also released the program’s website (www.chicagobikes.org/bikeshare); its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/divvybikes) and its Twitter site (@divvybikes). Divvy will allow residents to “divvy’’ up rental bikes via $75-a-year memberships or $7 daily passes, which allow for unlimited trips between bike stations of up to 30 minutes each.
