The skeletal remains that youngsters discovered while walking through a wooded area in Woodridge last month have been identified as that of a Lisle man who went missing in 2007.
About 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, Woodridge police responded to a wooded area in the 7900 block of Lemont Road after two youths out for a walk found what appeared to be skeletal human remains, police said.
Police, working with the DuPage County Coroner, DuPage County Sheriff’s Forensic Unit, and Felony Investigative Assistance Team, recovered evidence which was turned over to the coroner for further analysis.
The results of the analysis, announced Tuesday by the coroner’s office, showd the remains were those of Anthony Scott Arcaro, who was 37 years old when he was reported missing from Lisle in 2007.
The cause of death has not been determined and Woodridge police, Lisle police and the coroner’s office are investigating his death.
