The Morton Arboretum in Lisle will remain closed Sunday because of flooding.
It’s been closed since Thursday after the east branch of the DuPage River rose 10 feet due to heavy rains that inundated the Chicago area. The river runs through the arboretum.
The closing means an Arbor Day 10K run and another event, called EcoFest, that had been planned for Sunday have been canceled.
The arboretum’s phone system, which went down after the flooding, isn’t expected to be back up for several days, spokeswoman Sarah Clark said.
