Car hits stopped police car on Lake Shore Drive

A young woman rear-ended a Chicago police SUV that was stopped on Lake Shore Drive as an officer conducted traffic control Saturday morning for another accident, police said.
The officer wasn’t hurt. The woman suffered a sprained ankle. It happened just past 7:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive just south of Belmont Avenue, according to police Officer John Mirabelli.
