Chicago firefighter injured in South Deering fire

A firefighter was injured during a fire early Thursday in the South Deering neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.
A still and box alarm was called at 2:24 a.m. for a fire in attic of a home in the 10200 block of South Commercial Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs spokeswoman Meg Ahlheim.
One firefighter was taken in good condition to Advocate Trinity Hospital, Ahlheim said.
The fire was extinguished at 2:55 a.m., Ahlheim said.
