ST. CHARLES - A former employee of a west suburban law firm made unauthorized money transfers totalling more than $100,000 from her employer’s accounts, according to police.
Jordan E. Terry, 46, of the 0N400 block of Ford Drive in Geneva is charged with one count of felony theft over $100,000, according to St. Charles police.
On March 18, a local attorney filed a report with St. Charles police that said Terry had been an employee of his firm for more than seven years, but a January 2013 audit had turned up the unauthorized money transfers, a statement from police said.
Following an investigation by police and prosecutors, an arrest warrant was issued for Terry, whose attorney contacted police and arranged for her to turn herself in on Monday, according to police.
She was released on a $10,000 cash bond pending her next court appearance on April 25.
