Dolton man killed in crash with semi-truck on the South Side

A Dolton man was killed when his car struck the back of a truck early Saturday in Washington Park on the city’s South Side, Anthony James, 24, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 9:31 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The crash happened at 3:25 a.m. on State Street at West 59th Street. The police said James’ Oldsmobile Cutlass and the semi-tractor-trailer truck were both northbound on State Street when the truck slowed to make a left onto 59th Street, and James’ car hit the truck.
