4 dead, 5 wounded in shootings in Chicago this weekend

Four men have been killed and five others wounded in shootings in Chicago since Friday night. Here’s a rundown of the killings:
◆ Jonathan Santiago, 19, was shot and killed in Humboldt Park around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, police said. He was part of a group standing in the 3300 block of West Beach Avenue when two males came out of a gangway and opened fire, hitting him in the chest, police said. Santiago was pronounced dead at Norwegian-American Hospital at 3:12 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
◆ Miguel Cancel, 19, was fatally shot and two others were wounded when a gunman opened fire on them as they drove in the 4200 block of West Irving Park Road Saturday morning. Cancel was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital just after 9 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
◆ Kevin Sanders, 34, was shot Friday night in South Chicago. Police said Sanders was found shortly after 11 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Burley Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Sanders, of the 8900 block of South Mackinaw Avenue, died at Advocate Trinity Hospital, the medical examiner’s office said.
