Light snow showers are expected to be scattered throughout the Chicago area Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures reaching the upper 40s and wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour will make for a breezy morning and afternoon.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain showers mixed with light sleet or snow possible after midnight with lows expected in the mid 30s, according to the weather service. Southernly winds from 10 to 15 miles per hour are also expected.
Sunday will bring much warmer temperatures with highs in the upper 60s, according to the NWS. Partly sunny skies and windy conditions are expected with gusts increasing to 30 miles per hour by late afternoon.
Thunderstorms are possible Sunday night throughout the Chicago area, the weather service forecast said. Storms could continue primarily along and south of Interstate 80 on Monday through Tuesday night.
Storms are possible throughout the Chicago area again on Wednesday, according to NWS.
