A man was killed and four other people — including two police officers — were hurt when a car collided with a police squad car late Friday in Austin on the citiy’s West Side.

The car, carrying three people, crashed into the squad car around 11:30 p.m. near Harrison Street and Laramie Avenue, police said.

An 18-year-old man from the passenger car who was ejected from the wreckage died at the scene. He was identified by the Cook County medical examiner’s office as Anthony Camarillo of the 1300 block of South 56th Street.

Two other people who were in the car with him were taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Both police officers were taken to Stroger Hospital. Neither had life-threatening injuries, Officer Amina Greer said.
