CAROL STREAM — Glenbard North High School in Carol Stream was put on a “soft lockdown” Friday morning as police conducted an investigation nearby.
The soft lockdown was removed about 9 a.m. and police informed school officials that “the individual of concern was apprehended and is in custody,” school principal John Mensik said in a statement on Glenbard North’s website.
“Our school day will continue as normal,” Mensik said, noting “the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority.”
