Classes were canceled Wednesday at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview after a thunderstorm caused a power outage.
Power was not expected to be restored until 2 p.m., said Principal Brian Wegley in a press release.
“The storm today has created a power outage that began just before 8 a.m. We have been in constant touch with ComEd, who have now informed us that the power is not expected to be restored until 2 p.m.,” he said.
Except for musical practice, all after school activities were canceled.
