Man fatally shot outside school in South Shore neighborhood

A 28-year-old man died after he was shot in the chest and arm Monday morning oustide James Madison School in the South Shore neighborhood, Chicago Police said.
About 8:30 a.m., several males approached the man in the 7400 block of South Dorchester and one opened fire, Chicago Police Officer John Mirabelli said.
The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died, Mirabelli said.
The victim and the suspected gunman are documented gang members, according to police.
No one was in custody in the case late Monday. Chicago Police detectives were investigating.
